Il progetto, ideato dal violinista Alessandro Cazzato, si configura come un affascinante viaggio musicale che si dipana tra le composizioni per strumento solo di Goffredo Petrassi – qui raccolte per la prima volta in unico CD – e offre la possibilità di apprezzarne, in un unico sguardo, la scrittura compositiva dei sei strumenti coinvolti, qui intenti in veri e propri monologhi strumentali.
In queste elitarie e raffinate nugae (come le definiva Mario Bortolotto) la fantasia e l’innovazione strumentale permettono un’accurata riflessione sul rinnovamento del linguaggio tonale e, sebbene con molta libertà ed estro, sull’organizzazione seriale, con l’intento di saggiare linguisticamente tutte le potenzialità tecniche e timbriche di ogni strumento, per giungere nell’area del virtuosismo strumentale, in qualche modo consanguineo alla musica.

Planned by the violinist Alessandro Cazzato, thE project is as a musical path that unfolds between the pieces for solo instrument by Goffredo Petrassi – brought together here for the first time in a single CD – with the aim of understanding, in a single glance, the intimate and virtuosic compositional writing of the six instruments, focused on authentic instrumental monologues. As pieces for solo instrument, they can be understood as exclusive and refined nugae (following the words of Mario Bortolotto), monologues of the soul, in which the imagination and the instrumental innovation allow a deep reflection to rebuild the tonal language and the serial organization of tones, although with freedom and fancy. The aim is to test all the technical and tonal potentialities of each instrument used, to reach the area of instrumental virtuosity somehow related to music.
